Nanoparticles and plant-microbe interactions: An environmental perspective

Edited by Seena Sahadevan and Santosh Kumar (In progress)
Published by Elsevier
Nanotechnology is an emerging field with a vast range of nano-based products for commercial exploitation. This book will provide a general overview and recent technologies and developments on the green synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) followed by the interaction of nanoparticles with the plant and microbe and technologies harnessing these plant-microbe interactions and nanoparticles for the betterment of humanity and environment. This book will discuss the usage of NPs and their interaction with microbes in phytoremediation, biosensors for plant disease management and climate resilient agriculture. In addition, this book will also cover the advancement in alleviating environmental pollution and climate change by exploiting NPs. On the one hand, nanotechnology is full of promises. On the other hand, NPs can harm microbes and plants affecting the ecosystem function and the plant-microbial symbiosis, which will also be the focus. Therefore, this book will attract a wide range of readers looking for positive and negative impacts of nanotechnology, which is unique.
